Holy Spirit. Does the Spirit work?

What evidence should I expect to see of the Holy Spirit working in my life. Why the normal Christian life is filled with the Holy Spirit's work. I find that many Lutherans struggle to understand why we don't chase Holy Spirit experiences in the same way that other denominations do. I would like to present a positive message of how we see the Holy Spirit working in our lives as we see Christ more clearly and as we learn to turn from sin as a result of our faith in Christ. The same "rhythm of repentance and faith" the same beholding of Jesus Christ that began our christian walks are the things the progress us in our Christian walks. We don't find Christ when we're saved and then spend the rest of our christian lives chasing the Holy Spirit. I would make sure to present this as a positive message and not in disagreement with other denominations.
