BIRTH STORY | Alana. One pregnancy. Gestational diabetes. Spontaneous labor. Physiological birth.

If there's one key thing I want you to know about managing gestational diabetes, it's that it doesn't have to feel restrictive.

If you're hating what you're eating, spending a lot of time hungry, constantly getting food envy, sick of eating low carb bread and lettuce burgers, and/or scrolling wishfully through all the carby things you "can't" have on instagram, I can't stress enough that it doesn't have to feel this way.

Healthy eating with GD is essentially the same as healthy eating for everyone.
And this can certainly include carbs and delicious things.

Anyway, on today's podcast you'll hear from Alana.
I worked with her when her bub was about 6 months old, but we chatted about her pregnancy with GD, and her birth story.
Without giving too much away, Alana didn't feel like she received much support around her diet while she was pregnant, and as a result felt pretty rubbish about what she was eating.

Now that we've worked together she's developed a sustainable, healthy eating pattern that she enjoys much more!
I wish we had crossed paths sooner though, as I hate hearing how miserable it can feel going through GD without guidance.

Let me know if you would like more content centred around postpartum nutrition :)
