Since 1955, horseback riders have been taking part in an event called the Tevis Cup. This 24 hour endurance race starts in Lake Tahoe, California and ends in Auburn 100 miles to the west. Breast cancer survivor Lora Wereb recently took on this grueling challenge in the race’s 61st year.
