You've probably seen them pop up on social media...but a number of scientists say it's all a hoax. Plus, a father and daughter were about to land in a small plane when they crashed. Despite being terribly injured, they survived. Now they're talking with Les Trent about their ordeal. And it's being called the world's most expensive sweater. After 14 days on the run, Danelo Cavalcante is back in custody. The convicted killer was apprehended around eight this morning in Pennsylvania. The result of an intensive manhunt that came to an end when the escapee was found hiding in a wood pile. Authorities were so proud of their capture they stopped to take a group photo with Cavalcante front and center. Steven Fabian is in Pennsylvania with the latest. And meantime for the first time in two weeks, the residents of Chester County, Pennsylvania can relax. Many officials and citizens are feeling that the nightmare is finally over...and life is getting back to normal.     Plus, San Francisco and Phoenix recently allowed driverless taxi's to expand their services. Critics say that's caused lots of problems, and with more than 600 reported incidents in San Francisco alone, as Jim Moret reports, some people have had it. And if you're the family of Charlie Gregory…it's hard not to believe in miracles. Today, there are a lot of questions. Chief among them: how'd he slip through? Plus, the US Open tennis tournament is history with Coco Gauff the new darling of women's tennis thanks to her win. She's also the darling of social media thanks to this footage making the rounds. Coco at age 8, watching the US Open with no inkling of what was to come. And, polls show 65 percent of all Americans believe in UFOs. Which may be why this footage struck a nerve. It's a fireball over Las Vegas that proceeded the terrifying visitors this family says they saw: two nine-foot-tall aliens staring at them from their backyard. Nerves are tense in the area where just last night a trail camera caught this image of the convicted murderer who escaped from Pennsylvania prison last Thursday. Despite a huge police presence, the sighting was outside a security perimeter cops had established. As the search goes on, Steven Fabian reports residents are being urged to keep their doors locked - and a sharp eye out. And First Lady Jill Biden did not return to the White House after the Labor Day weekend. She's isolating at the Biden's home in Delaware after testing positive for Covid. And the president masked up today as he handed out the Medal of Honor. Plus, at the start of the holiday weekend, we reported on the likely danger of riptides…thanks in part to the after effects of Hurricane Idalia. Unfortunately, there were plenty of instances in which swimmers got caught. Ann Mercogliano spoke with one man who rescued a guy just moments before he thought he was a goner. And another scare on the water as a four-year-old boy jumps into a pond. It could have ended in disaster if not for this quick thinking neighbor who jumped in fully clothed to save the boy.
