If you've been dreaming of a white Christmas, you may get your wish…and if it's cold you want, that's definitely happening. The Arctic blast meteorologists have been forecasting has hit the Pacific Northwest...and the polar express is headed across the plains to the east. And even before the run on stores from the storm, if you've got a sick child, you've probably already had trouble finding cold medicine. However, as Ann Mercogliano reports…there may be a solution to all those empty shelves. Plus, it's a missing persons case with a lot of troubling questions. 11-year-old Madelina was last seen just before Thanksgiving…but she wasn’t reported missing until last week! Now both her mother and stepfather are facing charges…and no one knows what happened to their little girl. And it was a lifelong dream of a man abandoned as a baby. That one day, he would find his birth family. Fortunately, he's had a long life - because at the age of 90, that dream has now come true. Inside Edition reports…It was supposed to be the cruise industry’s big return – sailing in the Caribbean for the first time since the industry was shut down by the pandemic. That ship is returning to port after someone on board tested positive for Covid-19. There was a lot of drama at last night’s CMA Awards…much of it caused by Covid-19. A family went for Covid-19 tests and then got quite a shock when the bill arrived. And do you usually have a 20-pound bird for Thanksgiving? With gatherings scaled back, smaller turkeys are a sign of the times. Inside Edition reports…President-elect Joe Biden is wasting no time taking steps to, as he put it, ‘rebuild and restore’ the United States…but President Trump is not admitting defeat. Mr. Trump continues to make unproven claims of election fraud, flooding his supporters with emails asking for contributions to fund a legal challenge. There’s hopeful news on the vaccine front as Pfizer announced its Covid-19 vaccine has a better than 90% efficacy, putting it roughly at the success level of vaccines like the ones for measles and smallpox. Tributes continue to pour in for Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek, who lost his battle against stage four pancreatic cancer over the weekend. And the 51 Miss USA contestants are getting ready for tonight’s big competition…but how do you have a beauty pageant in the midst of a global pandemic?
