We're back in New York after a whirlwind few days in London for King Charles Coronation culminating in last night's blowout concert where Katy Perry brought the house down. But even the stars on the stage couldn't outshine the little royals in the audience who clearly know all the words to Katy Perry's songs! And, if you've lost count of how many mass shootings have happened so far this year, you're not alone. It's a sad commentary in today's times. The latest shooting came this weekend at an outlet mall in Allen, Texas where a gunman, clad in body armor, opened fire with an automatic rifle on shoppers. Eight were killed along with the gunman by a cop who just happened to be there. As Jim Moret reports, the gunman was wearing a patch that symbolizes a right-wing death squad. Plus, according to reports, a grand jury may be meeting today to decide if any charges will be brought in connection with that death on a New York City subway. Meantime a group upset about the killing of a subway performer by a Marine veteran decided to assemble 'on' the subway tracks themselves … a move officials called dangerous and reckless. The Marine veteran claims he was acting defense of himself and other passengers. Les Trent has details, and we warn you this story contains upsetting video. And, closing arguments today in the civil rape trial against former President Donald Trump with E. Jean Carroll's attorney saying she was 'exactly his type.' Although, the judge gave Trump until 5pm yesterday to say he would testify, the deadline passed with no word from the former president. Inside Edition reports…Millions of Californians received a text message from the state health department. It said to stay home because Covid-19 is spreading rapidly, and it is…all over the country. In certain areas, people are being asked to halt all but essential activity. Will they comply? An ICU nurse was on her way to work where every day she saved patients with Covid-19 and now she’s dead. She was gunned down in her car and her mother is desperate for answers. A TV mom’s daughter was nervous about being bullied for wearing glasses and the anchor very directly sent her an important message. And a dog vs. a cow. A scientist who helped build Florida’s Covid-19 dashboard later lost her job…fired, she says, because she refused to manipulate data. Now her home has been raided by state police who stormed her home with guns drawn. And it’s that time of year to go out and get a Christmas tree. So we’ve got tips on how to pick the perfect tree and also how to keep it fresh ‘til the New Year. Inside Edition reports…With Covid-19 numbers getting worse, a vaccine can’t come soon enough. Now there are worries that anxious people not willing to wait their turn to get the shots will turn to getting the vaccine in black markets. They are willing to pay top prices…but it comes with a serious warning. A couple was renovating a vintage house and they found more than 60 bottles of booze hidden behind the walls! Who put them there and why? For six decades it’s provided a peephole into outer space and now a giant telescope has come crashing down in some very dramatic video. And one very guilty dog.
