Ep. 360 - DeFi on EOS w/ EOSfinex's Steven Quinn

In this episode of CRYPTO 101, we wondered what is going on with EOS? Of all the top layer one next-gen blockchains, EOS had the most hype but we haven’t seen a lot built on that platform come into the mainstream. We sought out Steven Quinn from EOSFINEX and got a really informative education on how DeFi has made its way onto EOS. EOSFINEX is one of the main users of pTokens, which allows synthetic ERC20 assets, Bitcoin, Litecoin, and others, to be traded across the low-fee, high speed EOS chain. As this platform grows, it could be a real contender for traders who are sick and tired of the low-speed, egregious ETH costs on all of the other DeFi platforms most users are currently at. On a personal note, it has one of the cleanest DeFi interfaces we’ve ever seen, giving the trader just enough tools and charts but not overloading the screen with too many toggles and graphs to be confusing. We’re very impressed with their beta release and look forward to the full version and many more tokens in the future.
