Flora has a great passion for community service and has selflessly served the community under various leadership roles on the board of several organizations. An M.B.A by Profession, Her leadership on the Board of several organizations has successfully led and seen successfully events and projects benefitting thousands.

She is also serving the current President of the Rotary Club of The Ronkonkomas.

Flora has played a vital role in successfully organizing several community programs and events across several organizations. Flora is married to Paresh Parekh and is the mom of a proud medical student son Harshil Parekh, currently pursuing clinical rotations in NY.

Gift of Life USA , A 501 C 3 non-profit organization for special needs is a strong advocate for special needs and is heavily focused and aimed at special needs individual journey from childhood through adolescence, thereby helping them with their health and education needs as well as providing them with a platform to showcase their exceptional talents. Over the past years, the organization has run advocacy programs for various special conditions thereby benefiting several differently-abled individuals in the areas of health and education. Our past Gala's have showcased proficient talent of individuals with autism, down-syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Asperger's, Epilepsy, Visually Impaired conditions, physically disabled /challenged. The organization takes deep pride in honoring and supporting our disabled veterans as well as connecting special needs individuals with entrepreneurs with career opportunities.

In addition to the ongoing education scholarships and veteran service dog sustainability programs, the organization will be advocating and supporting individuals without limbs under the theme of "Wings without Limbs" at our Annual Gala April 2021
