Episode 102: MS Disability Progression & Socioeconomic Status with Professor Helen Tremlett

My guest is Professor Helen Tremlett, who holds the Canada Research Chair in Neuroepidemiology and Multiple Sclerosis at the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, Canada. Professor Tremlett has been involved in more than 200 published research studies, and we're going to talk about a few of them -- including the research that she's done on the correlation between MS disability progression and socioeconomic status.

We're also talking about a study that indicates starting disease-modifying therapy early can slow brain atrophy among people living with MS. You already know that physical activity -- even walking -- is beneficial for people living with MS. We'll tell you why it might be even more beneficial for people living with MS to listen to music while they're walking. And we'll share news about potentially positive legislation for federal workers who are also MS caregivers.

We have a lot to talk about. Are you ready for RealTalk MS??!
