Mental health and body image are topics which are popularly discussed in 2023. However, things weren't the same in 2010 when Nathalia Novaes was just starting her career as a model.

The modeling industry has always had a bad reputation for being emotionally abusive. It's a very competitive field where people are bullied, and often times forced to lose weight in order to have a chance at success.

During her career as a model, Nathalia has struggled a lot with her mental health and constantly prioritized her work over her well being. Her hunger for success was so big that she even had an eating disorder, aiming to achieve "perfection".

On this episode of No Ducks Given Podcast, our guest Nathalia shares what she's learned about herself during the past 15 years working as a model, how she survived her eating disorder, and tips on how to improve your self-esteem and body image. She also shares in detail what working as a model is like, and the things you should consider before following this career path.
