2.2.23A《忠犬八公》

涉谷是日本东京最繁华的地段商业之一，那儿有一个涉谷广场，广场上立着一尊小狗的铜像，人们称它为八公。为什么人们要给一只小狗铸像呢？ 1923年，八公在一个农场出生，被一名东京大学的教授上野英三郎收养。每天，八公陪主人一起到涉谷车站搭车，目送主人搭上火车上班后，就会在车站外等待到下午，等候主人下班回来在车站外重逢。日复一日，车站附近的街坊邻里都认识了八公，而且特别喜欢他乖巧懂事的个性。直到1925年的某一天，上野教授没有在往常的时间回到涉谷车站。不知情的八公在车站外不吃不喝，等了三天三夜，却不知道主人已经因脑出血过世，所以不会回来了。随着主人的离世，八公被寄养在不同的家庭，但忠心的八公却没有因此放弃。每天到了主人下班的时间，八公就会在涉谷车站外静静地等候，这样一等就是10年。最后，八公于1935年因癌症去世。八公去世后，他的尸体被制成标本，摆放在国立科学博物馆，让人仰慕。人们在涉谷车站外建立了八公的铜像，并为他举办隆重的葬礼。八公最后与上野教授同葬于青山陵园，和主人永远在一起。日本铁路局甚至以八公的名字为其中一条铁路线命名。
