Mangione Charged With Murder as an Act of Terrorism; Top Russian General Killed in Moscow

President-elect Trump has sued The Des Moines Register newspaper and renowned pollster J. Ann Selzer, accusing them of election interference over a poll that showed ahead of the November election Vice President Kamala Harris leading in Iowa, which Trump eventually won.

Luigi Mangione, the suspect in the killing of the UnitedHealthcare CEO, has been charged in New York with first-degree murder and second-degree murder as an act of terrorism. The Manhattan district attorney alleged that this was a targeted murder intended to cause shock and intimidation.

Police have identified the shooter in the Wisconsin Christian school shooting as 15-year-old student Natalie Rupnow. Authorities are investigating clues to determine her motive, which they say appears to be a "combination of factors."

Russia has accused Ukraine of killing a top Russian general with a bomb hidden in a scooter outside his apartment building in Moscow. Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov was the chief of the Russian military's nuclear, biological, and chemical protection forces.
