Growth - Building the Future Through Technology Partnerships

This episode of the Business, Innovation and Technology podcast looks at different approaches to building the Metaverse. Podcast host Jonathan Kratz, Director and Head of Industry of Technology, Mobile, and Creativity at Meta has two conversations, one with Ralph Pardo, CEO of OMG NA, the other with Janet Lee, SVP and CMO of Mobile Experience at Samsung Electronics America.

Ralph shares why he thinks society is ready to go "all in" on the Metaverse: the incremental change we have seen for many years has recently become large-scale change, opening people to all sorts of possibilities. Yet even as these possibilities open up, Ralph maintains it's more important than ever to be intentional about the applications that companies are building in the Metaverse. That intentionality will drive design.

Janet makes some allusions to the experience that Samsung is currently building in the Metaverse (and hopes to open to the public later this year) and indicates that she shares Ralph's intention-driven thinking. One of Samsung's big wins recently has been in using new media to push a new product and in Janet's discussion with Jonathan, she shares why storytelling is so important.
