He has developed six revolutionary online programs with thousands of participants. These programs include E-guides, recipe guides, meal plans and video instructions including “The Sugar Detox,” “The Cancer Cleanse,” “Navigating the Ketogenic Diet,” and “The Digestive Health Restoration Program,” and “The AutoImmune Elimination Program” and the “Super Brain Program.” Dr. Jockers is a sought after speaker around the country on such topics as weight loss, brain health, functional exercise, natural detoxification, and disease prevention. Dr. Jockers sees patients at his clinic, Exodus Health Center, to help customize specific lifestyle plans to help individuals improve performance and beat chronic disease. In this episode, Dr. Jockers opens to the show explaining the benefits of fasting – with fasting, you can maintain weight, muscle mass, and create balance. Plus, Dr. Jockers describes the benefits fasting can have to fight cancer. Stay tuned to hear Dr. Jockers talk about what you need to do if you are plateauing on the ketogenic diet, and he speaks about his latest book, Keto Metabolic Breakthrough. [00:25] About Dr. Jockers Eventually, Dr. Jockers developed irritable bowel issues and lost thirty pounds. He went from 170 lbs to 130 lbs and had a chronic gut infection. Dr. Jockers started to listen to his body and only ate when he was hungry. At this point, he started playing with intermittent fasting. Jockers developed skin cancer. It was a wake-up call to create balance in his life. After doing some research, Dr. Jockers found the ketogenic diet. Eventually, his skin cancer went away after implementing the ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting. [07:00] The Benefits of Fasting Jockers is trying to maintain his weight and muscle mass. It is easier for him to maintain his muscle mass with fasting. Dr. Jockers likes to fast for brain function – it allows him to think sharply and quickly. Fasting will also help you feel stronger when lifting. Plus, there are mental and emotional benefits of fasting. Jockers doesn’t eat while traveling – there is no need for it. It’s hard for Dr. Jockers to fast through lunch. He fasts through dinner quite often. Having a break during the day is a ritual for most of us. We are addicted to our rituals, and our rituals revolve around food. “The quality of our lives is all about building resiliency.” -Dr. Jockers [10:50] Fasting Fights Cancer If we are continually stimulating insulin in our body, then we are unable to heal. All of our cells need repair; they are damaged by stress, so we need a regular repair process. We need to take our damaged cells and repair them. It is more energy efficient to repair cells, then replace cells. Cancer is driven by the constant signal to grow. When we remove the signal to grow, then the body can repair. People are worried that fasting will remove muscle. However, the body will get the signal to stay strong and fast. Fasting will result in an increase in strength. Once you get going to the gym, you will feel just as strong if not stronger. Training is the number one stimulus for muscle growth. [15:50] Does Glucose or Fat Produce More Energy? Glucose is the fastest process. Burning fat is going to take a lot longer. Burning ketones and fatty acids will produce more energy with fewer waste. If we have carbs, we will want to burn those fast. Being metabolically flexible is the ability to switch back and forth. Without food, our body can burn fat and ketones for fuel. [19:15] The Best Foods to Eat on a Keto Diet Diets need to be customized. People do the best with grass-fed meats, organic eggs, avocados, olives, olive oils, green vegetables, dark chocolate, nuts, seeds, lemons, and limes. You can get most of the benefits of fruits from lemons and limes. Plus, the lemons and limes do not have sugar. Sour foods are good for stimulating bile and stomach acid. Most people have no idea how to stimulate these things. If you are metabolically flexible, then berries are a great source. Consuming too many berries will not allow your body to go into ketosis. We are not getting enough fat-soluble vitamin A. You can find in egg yolk, grass-fed butter, and organ meat. We should do things that stimulate our stomach acid and bile. Bile will sterilize the small intestine. [26:50] The Biggest Mistake on the Ketogenic Diet Not including enough herbs is the biggest mistake on the ketogenic diet. Often, people are eating too many dairy products and not enough herbs. Some people feel better with less vegetables. However, they will still do well with ginger tea and herbs with their meats. [28:00] What to do When You Are Plateauing Find out why you are plateauing. Are you actually getting into ketosis? When you are in ketosis, you should not have cravings. If you are not feeling energetic in ketosis, you may have a thyroid issue. Are the outer-third of your eyebrows thinning? This is a common sign of thyroid problems. Test your fasting insulin. You want to see it between two and five. Check for food sensitivity – you may have a sensitivity to coffee, eggs, or dairy. You can also do your own testing by putting something on your tongue and measuring your pulse. Some people need more stress on their system. Intermittent fasting will ramp up fat burning. Exercise will also help. You can also stress your body with temperature changes using cold showers and saunas. [38:30] About Keto Metabolic Breakthrough It’s a functional medicine approach to the ketogenic diet. In the book, Dr. Jockers explains how to carb cycle and how to overcome plateaus. If you have too much stress on your system, you may not be able to get into ketosis. The book is released on January 28th, and you can reserve a copy HERE. AND MUCH MORE! #1227 Calories Aren’t the Problem - The Shocking Energy Blocks Slowing Your Metabolism with Dr. Christopher Motley

What if the real reason your metabolism is struggling has nothing to do with food, but with hidden energy blockages, unresolved infections, and the frequency of your environment? In this episode of the Metabolic Freedom Podcast, Ben Azadi sits down with Dr. Christopher Motley to explore how Traditional Chinese Medicine and frequency medicine work together to uncover root causes of metabolic dysfunction. Dr. Motley explains how the body functions as an electrical grid made up of meridians, fascia, and biofields, and how disruptions in that system can affect organs, hormones, detox pathways, and energy production. Using Ben’s own real-life experience with mold exposure, back pain, and drop foot, this conversation walks through how spinal patterns can reveal stressed organs, how infections like mold, yeast, and parasites may linger beneath the surface, and why gut health, kidney function, and adrenal fatigue are often deeply connected to metabolism. They also explore the emotional and environmental side of healing, including how unresolved stress, fear, control patterns, and even the people around you can influence your biofield, hormone output, and long-term health. If you want a deeper understanding of metabolism that goes far beyond calories and macros, this episode opens an entirely different lens. Key Topics Covered How Traditional Chinese Medicine views the body as an electrical grid of meridians and energy pathways What the biofield is and how frequency medicine is used as an investigative tool How spinal misalignments may point to stressed organs and metabolic dysfunction Identifying hidden infections including mold, yeast, candida, parasites, and bacteria Ben’s experience with mold exposure, back pain, drop foot, and gut symptoms The connection between kidneys, adrenals, colon health, and energy levels Why emotions like fear, frustration, control, and unresolved tears are discussed in metabolic healing How environment and proximity to others can influence your energy and physiology The role of thoughts, beliefs, and mindset in shaping hormonal and nervous system responses Why healing often requires addressing structure, chemistry, emotions, and energy together Links & Resources Dr. Christopher Motley: https://www.doctormotley.com/Ancient Health Podcast: https://www.doctormotley.com/podcast Follow Ben Azadi 🌐 Website: https://www.benazadi.com📸 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thebenazadi💼 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/benazadi▶️ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/ketokamp 🔎 Find All Metabolic Freedom Sponsorship Dealshttps://www.ketokamp.com/sponsorship-deals

#1226 Give Me 15 Minutes a Day and I’ll Save You 15+ Years of Alzheimer’s -The Metabolic Truth About Brain Decline and How to Reverse It With Ben Azadi

Alzheimer’s doesn’t begin with memory loss. It begins years earlier with metabolic dysfunction. In this episode, Ben Azadi reveals why Alzheimer’s is now being referred to as “Type 3 Diabetes” and how insulin resistance, inflammation, and chronic stress silently damage the brain long before symptoms appear. You’ll learn why genetics are not your destiny, how the brain becomes starved for fuel despite high blood sugar, and why waiting for symptoms is already too late. Ben breaks down the science behind hippocampal shrinkage, reduced glucose uptake in the brain, and the role of cortisol in cognitive decline. This episode introduces the 15-Minute Brain Reboot, a simple daily protocol designed to protect and rebuild brain health: Daily fasting to switch the brain’s fuel from sugar to ketones Zone 2 movement to increase blood flow and grow new brain cells Gratitude (“Vitamin G”) to lower stress hormones and protect neurons Ben also answers common questions about genetics, brain games, fasting safety, supplements, and why prevention isn’t emphasized in conventional medicine. The takeaway is clear: you’re not broken, you’re early. With consistent daily habits, your brain can heal, adapt, and stay sharp for decades to come. 🔥CLICK For Your Complete 14 Day Fat Loss Plan (Reignite Your Body & Life) HERE - https://bit.ly/3NEu8Cv  📚 🎁  Purchase Ben's new book Metabolic Freedom today to receive immediate access to a FREE course on metabolism with exclusive interviews from Dr Daniel Pompa, Dr Jason Fung, Megan Ramos, Cynthia Thurlow & more. #1225 The Japanese Method That Melts Visceral Belly Fat, Lowers Inflammation, and Reprograms Your Metabolism Without Starvation or Cardio With Ben Azadi

#1225 The Japanese Method That Melts Visceral Belly Fat, Lowers Inflammation, and Reprograms Your Metabolism Without Starvation or Cardio With Ben Azadi

In this episode, Ben Azadi reveals why stubborn belly fat is not a calorie issue or a willpower problem but a visceral fat problem driven by inflammation, stress hormones, and faulty metabolic signals. Ben explains the critical difference between subcutaneous fat and visceral fat and why traditional approaches like excessive cardio, crunches, caloric restriction, and chronic OMAD fail to eliminate deep belly fat. Drawing on over 200 years of Japanese metabolic wisdom, he shares a simple yet powerful three-pillar approach to melting visceral fat naturally: Deeply colored foods that activate fat-burning genes Green tea catechins that increase fat oxidation and block fat absorption Moderate-intensity movement using the 75% talk-test rule You’ll also learn: How to identify visceral fat with a simple self-test Why bottled green tea sabotages fat loss Why fat loss is about signals, not discipline How “thin on the outside, fat on the inside” (TOFI) applies to many people How fast visceral fat can drop once the right signals are restored This episode delivers a clear, actionable plan to reduce inflammation, protect metabolism, and restore your body’s natural fat-burning ability without starvation or punishment. 🔥CLICK For Your Complete 14 Day Fat Loss Plan (Reignite Your Body & Life) HERE - https://bit.ly/3Lp0oZQ  📚 🎁  Purchase Ben's new book Metabolic Freedom today to receive immediate access to a FREE course on metabolism with exclusive interviews from Dr Daniel Pompa, Dr Jason Fung, Megan Ramos, Cynthia Thurlow & more. #1224 Why Eating Raw Honey Before Bed Can Lower Cortisol, Improve Deep Sleep, and Burn Fat While You Sleep With Ben Azadi

#1224 Why Eating Raw Honey Before Bed Can Lower Cortisol, Improve Deep Sleep, and Burn Fat While You Sleep With Ben Azadi

In this episode, Ben Azadi shares a surprising 30-day experiment where he ate a small amount of raw honey before bed and tracked its effects on sleep, stress, cravings, energy, and fat loss. Ben explains how chronic low-carb dieting, fasting, or undereating carbohydrates at night can elevate cortisol, disrupt sleep, and stall fat loss, especially for people over 40. He breaks down why raw honey is metabolically different from sugar, highlighting its enzymes, polyphenols, antioxidants, and lower insulin response shown in human studies. You’ll learn how low nighttime liver glycogen can trigger cortisol spikes and middle-of-the-night wake-ups, and how a teaspoon to tablespoon of raw honey before bed may support liver glycogen, reduce stress hormones, improve REM and deep sleep, and stabilize mood and energy. Ben shares his exact protocol, week-by-week results, who should avoid or modify this approach, how to choose high-quality raw honey, and whether this strategy affects ketosis. He also answers common questions about insulin, inflammation, fructose, melatonin, and long-term use. This episode reframes honey not as a sugar problem, but as a strategic metabolic tool to improve sleep, reduce stress, and support overall metabolic health. #1223 Scientists Tested Every Fasting Window And One Melted Fat Faster Than Anything Else (It’s Not 16:8) With Ben Azadi

On this episode of the Metabolic Freedom Podcast, Ben Azadi reveals why intermittent fasting often stops working and which fasting window actually produces the most fat loss according to human research. Ben breaks down studies comparing 12-hour, 16-hour, 24-hour, and 36-hour fasts, explaining how daily fasting can increase cortisol, stall metabolism, and block stubborn belly fat loss. He shares why fat loss requires strategic cycling, not constant deprivation, and how over-fasting can backfire by slowing thyroid function and reducing lean muscle. You’ll learn why the 36-hour fast delivers the most powerful fat-burning and metabolic benefits when used correctly, plus how to pair fasting with proper refeeds, protein intake, and recovery to avoid plateaus. Ben also explains the critical role of minerals during fasting and how mineral depletion is often mistaken for hunger or weakness. This episode delivers a clear fasting framework based on your stress level, age, and metabolic health, helping you fast smarter, burn fat more efficiently, and restore metabolic flexibility without wrecking your hormones. #1222 I Can Spot Insulin Resistance From Across the Room - The 5 Silent Signs Your Blood Work Isn’t Showing and How to Reverse It Naturally With Ben Azadi

In this episode of the Metabolic Freedom Podcast, Ben Azadi reveals how insulin resistance can exist long before it appears on standard blood work and how the body shows clear warning signs that most people overlook. Ben explains that insulin resistance is not caused by laziness or lack of discipline. It is a biological response to years of metabolic stress, often hiding in plain sight even in people who eat clean, exercise, and appear healthy. You’ll learn the five silent physical signs of insulin resistance, including dark skin patches, skin tags, stubborn belly fat, water retention, and cold or numb extremities. These visible signals often show up years before glucose or A1c levels become abnormal. The episode breaks down what insulin really does in the body, why chronically elevated insulin blocks fat burning, increases inflammation, and damages blood vessels, and why doctors frequently miss insulin resistance by relying only on glucose-based labs. Ben shares real client examples and walks through two simple, science-backed steps to start reversing insulin resistance immediately: eating protein and fat before carbohydrates and using apple cider vinegar correctly to blunt glucose and insulin spikes. This episode also explains why fasting insulin is the most important lab marker to request, how skinny individuals can still have dangerous visceral fat, and why insulin resistance is reversible when the right signals are restored. If you are dealing with stubborn belly fat, fatigue, inflammation, or unexplained health issues, this episode provides clarity, empowerment, and practical tools to take control of your metabolic health naturally. 👉Paleo ValleyApple Cider Vinegar Complex 15% off coupon code already applied at checkout https://www.paleovalley.com/offers/apple-cider-vinegar-complex-promo/pvpartners?oid=27&affid=68&creative_id=12  🔥CLICK For Your Complete 14 Day Fat Loss Plan (Reignite Your Body & Life) HERE -https://bit.ly/3LE2DIA   📚 🎁  Purchase Ben's new book Metabolic Freedom today to receive immediate access to a FREE course on metabolism with exclusive interviews from Dr Daniel Pompa, Dr Jason Fung, Megan Ramos, Cynthia Thurlow & more. #1221 7 Herbs That Shut Down Cortisol at Night, Melt Stubborn Belly Fat, and Help You Fall Asleep Faster Than Ever With Ben Azadi

If you are struggling with stubborn belly fat, poor sleep, anxiety, or nighttime restlessness, the issue may not be calories, carbs, or willpower. The real culprit is often elevated cortisol, especially at night when it should be low. In this episode, Ben explains how chronically high cortisol blocks fat loss, disrupts sleep, increases inflammation, and accelerates aging. He breaks down how cortisol is meant to follow a natural daily rhythm and why modern stress, screen time, caffeine timing, and under-eating can keep it elevated at night. You’ll learn about seven powerful herbs that help lower cortisol naturally, calm the nervous system, improve sleep quality, and support fat loss indirectly by restoring hormonal balance. Ben explains how each herb works, when to take it, and common mistakes people make when using supplements. The episode also covers what does not work for cortisol and sleep, how to safely stack herbs, how long to use them, and who should be cautious. Ben answers common listener questions about cortisol testing, fasting, melatonin, medication interactions, and long-term use. This episode is a practical, science-backed guide to helping your body exit survival mode so it can heal, burn fat, and sleep deeply again. 👉 Four Sigmatic Calm Organic Elixir Mix - https://bit.ly/4qXdLiN  🔥CLICK For Your Complete 14 Day Fat Loss Plan (Reignite Your Body & Life) HERE - https://bit.ly/3Lp0oZQ  📚 🎁  Purchase Ben's new book Metabolic Freedom today to receive immediate access to a FREE course on metabolism with exclusive interviews from Dr Daniel Pompa, Dr Jason Fung, Megan Ramos, Cynthia Thurlow & more.
