Not everyone who has survived so far in this dangerous world is a very good person; there is an implied threat of sexual assault (not by the hero) and some discussion of this as a societal concern. There are themes of reproductive rights, ableism, gender equality, and LGBTQ equality.

SEX CONTENT: There is a lot of sex in this book, all with explicit and enthusiastic consent. The hero is dominant, and the heroine is submissive.

Activities include fellatio (with deep throating and swallowing), cunnilingus, vaginal sex, anal sex, fisting, and a threesome (MFM) with double penetration.
