#62 Celebration for All, Aphasia Inclusion During the Holidays, Holiday Episode One of Five Summary

Listen or watch the first of five Holiday Aphasia Inclusion episodes that explore how to create an inclusive holiday experience for those with Aphasia.

Episodes two, three, four, and five will be broadcast LIVE on Instagram and Facebook (@LIFE Speech Pathology) and YouTube (@ListenforLIFEPodcast2023) every Thursday at 11:00 a.m. central time. The following Tuesday, these episodes will be released to the podcast (Listen for LIFE Aphasia Podcast -- available on your favorite podcast platform).

On November 2nd, LIFE Speech Pathology will offer a LIVE training class to walk you through the steps for making your holidays aphasia-inclusive. More information to come! This episode discusses the why of holiday inclusion, outlining the common pain points associated with the holidays for persons with aphasia. The next three episodes will break down insights from three people with differing levels of aphasia and one with a speech impairment that impacts the quality of their speech. Learning about the perspective of a person with aphasia will motivate you to consider how you approach and plan the holidays. Each episode will provide information with action strategies and steps you can take to make your holidays aphasia-inclusive.
