ONVIF and the benefits of open standards in physical security

There is little doubt that open standards and interoperability are playing increasingly central roles to modern, integrated physical security systems. But what do we mean by 'open standards'? Have we truly moved away from proprietary solutions? And what genuine benefits does interoperable technology bring to security teams? In this episode of the IFSEC Global Security in Focus podcast, we get the answers from Leo Levit, Chair of the ONVIF Steering Committee and Director of Systems Integrations at Axis Communications.
