Episode 63 - Monica Fernandi: The ABCs of Amazing Health

This week, Samantha talks with yoga instructor and life coach, Monica Fernandi about the "ABCs of Amazing Health." These are:

A - Attitude of Gratitude
Monica's attitude of gratitude is apparent from the beginning of the conversation. She believes we all should strive to have gratitude at the forefront of all of our attitudes.

B - Breathe
Breathing is a simple act that is free and easy to do. Monica talks about how breathing is our free medicine that will energize us and relax and detox us all at the same time.

C - Courage
Monica and Samantha discuss how courage is key. Courage refers to being able to do the hard things in life; the rewarding things. Monica encourages all of us to get out of our comfort zones and to have the courage to do something that scares you.

Monica talks about her journey from Jersey Girl to Virginia native living amongst the many cows in Rappahannock County. She discusses not only her own divorce after 20 years of marriage, but also how difficult relationships have been during COVID. She also had a perception shift during COVID that if we weren't allowed to go outside, then she would go inside. This allowed her to gain fitness certifications and grow her business.

Monica's first slogan is "Grow Strength Within." This is the philosophy that we all have strength within us that allows us to grow and build our own passions.

Monica and Samantha discuss how sometimes we don't know what our story will be until we get to the other side of the hard times. Monica says we can "co-create with fate." This looks like reverse-engineering our lives to figure out what it is that has made us who we are. Each one of use has the answers that we need to make the decisions in our lives that are right for us. We don't need to look outside of ourselves for answers.
