Recovery From Medication Non-Adherence

Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and celiac disease as a child, Jenny grappled with anxiety and depression throughout her teenage years. However, after enduring the heart-wrenching loss of two loved ones, her mental health struggles took an unforeseen turn.

Jenny found herself using the dangerous method of stopping her insulin as a form of self-harm. What began as a manifestation of her low self-esteem and negative body image spiraled into a self-destructive cycle. In this candid episode, Jenny bravely opens up about her journey, shedding light on the deeply ingrained patterns of behaviour that persisted until a near loss of eyesight forced her to reevaluate how she saw and treated herself.
