Episode 32 - Business Espionage with Bruce Wimmer

Bruce Wimmer is the Senior Director of Corporate Risk Services at G4S who has been involved in investigations and security consulting for almost 50 years. He is an ASIS Internationally Certified Protection Professional and is certified in Homeland Security (Level III) by the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute. He is also the author of the book - Business Espionage: Risks, Threats & Countermeasures.

During the 22 years he served in the US Air Force, he spent the majority of his time as a Special Agent with the Office of Special Investigations (OSI) being responsible for felony-level criminal and fraud investigations, anti-terrorism, and counterespionage operations/investigations. Having conducted and supervised thousands of investigations and security projects around the world, not only has this gotten him to work in every state within the United States and worked in more than 50 countries, but he’s also experienced having to live abroad for 18 years - in Asia, the Near East, Europe, the Caribbean, Latin America, and even on the Polar Ice Cap.

With his special expertise in countering business espionage, he was not only cited for developing the most efficient and effective counterespionage education and awareness program in the entire US Air Force, he also had the largest actual espionage investigations caseload in Berlin when he was working with the Department of Defense. His insights and programs on counterespionage operations were greatly recognized and implemented around the world that he represented the US military as the Official Speaker at a North Atlantic Treaty Organization Counterespionage Conference and spearheaded the counterespionage operations in Berlin, Germany before, during, and after the fall of the infamous Berlin Wall.

After his tenure with the US Military, Bruce moved on to assist both large and small-scale companies around the world that have sensitive business information to protect their data from business espionage threats.
