From his standout high school career at Sam Houston to his collegiate days at UTA, Reggie's passion for basketball propelled him to Europe, where he played professionally for the Tolka Rovers in Ireland. Today, he is a respected coach and mentor in the college coaching scene, training and guiding students at his renowned facility, The Bubble, in Kennedale, TX.In this episode, Reggie shares the profound impact of his parents, who instilled in him and his siblings the importance of aiming for the moon, with the understanding that even if they missed, they would still shine among the stars. Growing up, Reggie found inspiration in his brother Jamaal, a standout athlete who played basketball for Ohio State. Tragically, Jamaal passed away in November 2022. Later in life, Reggie's older sister, Thasunda Brown Duckett, became his role model. As the CEO of TIAA and one of Fortune's highlighted Black female CEOs, Thasunda's success and leadership have been a guiding force in Reggie's life.

Reggie also reflects on his journey as a proud father to his two daughters, Alexis and Autumn, who have not only excelled as elite athletes but have also developed strong, resilient minds. He shares valuable insights on cultivating their mental strength and the lessons he has learned as a father.

Moreover, the Brown family's commitment to their community is truly admirable. Through their non-profit organization, The Otis and Rosie Brown Foundation, and the ExtraordinaryIs Movement, they empower students and support education by providing annual grants and scholarships. The family's impact extends to the Arlington Downtown Library, where the lively Otis and Rosie Brown Living Room serves as a vibrant hub for the community.
