This is not something they cover during the airline safety briefing. If the ceiling starts to fall in, hold it up. That's exactly what happened on a Delta jet from Atlanta to Chicago. Passengers found themselves holding up the ceiling at 30,000 feet! And the crazy thing is - the same problem happened on another Delta jet on the same day! And an air quality alert for the Big Apple ... and the reason is wildfires. More than 15,000 acres in New Jersey have been burned and the smoke is now in New York City. The smoke may become so bad to breathe we could see the return of masks. Plus, in Vatican City, a steady stream of mourners have passed by the casket of the late Pope Francis. On day two of the three-day period of viewing, when the public was first admitted into St. Peters, there was a bit of a bottleneck -- but, the lines are moving rather quickly. Perhaps because church officials decided to keep the basilica open overnight. And more than 3.6 million babies were born in the U.S. last year. That sounds like a lot -- but it's below the birthrate needed to maintain the population stable through births alone. President Trump wants to address that - by paying women $5000 to have a child. Not everyone is applauding the idea. To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. They've been arch enemies for years and clearly still are. Former talk show host Rosie O’Donnell just moved to Ireland, she says, because she's unhappy President Trump is back in the Oval Office. As for Trump, he's not mincing words himself, telling Rosie - good riddance.  And we're right in the middle of the busy spring break travel period with one in three Americans going on vacation. Now comes a serious warning...if you're stuck on a long flight and don't get up, you could end up with blood clots. It happened to a passenger who almost lost her life midair. Plus, speaking of spring break, it's been nearly a week since a college student went missing in the Dominican Republic. The story of a student vanishing in the Caribbean is reminding many of Natalee Holloway - the teen who disappeared on a beach in Aruba twenty years ago. Her body was never found. And he's a real-life ghost buster who hosts one of the most popular paranormal shows on TV, but there's nothing supernatural about what's happening offscreen. His wife is accused of trying to hire a hitman to have him killed. She says she’s innocent. Spring break is just getting started for most students and already there's a tragedy, a University of Pittsburgh student has vanished. She was on holiday in the Dominican Republic, and while officials there suspect she may have drowned, her family fears she met with foul play.  And we've told you about all the drama involving TV personality Wendy Williams who says she's being held against her will in an assisted living facility. Now she has dropped a handwritten note from her fifth-floor window begging for help, before being escorted by police to a waiting ambulance. Plus, Saturday Night Live was back with its predictable lampooning of the Trump administration and just as predictably, one of President Trump's top advisors has pronounced the show ... 'Not funny.'  And maybe it would have played on this side of the Atlantic - but when pop star Sabrina Carpenter and her backup dancers did an opening number for the British version of the Grammy Awards- decked out in lingerie- there was a flood of complaints that it was too racy for TV.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices.
