Ep 195: Girl Sex, Communication & Sex, and Sexual Culture with Allison Moon. Allison is an author and sex educator. She focuses on female sexuality, queer women, and communication tools and strategies for better sex and sexual relations. Her popular books Girl Sex 101 and Getting It are great tools to help people communicate about sex with others, shed shame, and rock a partner's sexual world. Allison is very knowledgeable about sexual culture, queer sexuality, sexual citizenship, and sexual techniques/communication and has traveled around the US and Canada teaching people. Today she shares all her incredible insights on my podcast!

Allison's books are also great for heterosexual men who want to learn how to pleasure a woman like a lesbian, for those who wish to know about female pleasure and sexual anatomy, and how to best communicate about (and during) sex. Allison talked about how there is power in normalizing eroticism and sex, and that talking about sex is a great way to do that. Our society is currently trying to hide sex, so in talking about sex, we can combat this.

Allison gave some fabulous tangible tips and scripts for ways to do sexy and hot communication and provide advocacy of our needs during sex.

We also talked about when a partner crosses sexual boundaries and what ensues.

Allison and I talked about how female sexual anatomy is not only ignored but hidden from the public, even in medical settings and with medical providers. The clit and the penis are the same, even in size, it's just that the clit is primarily an internal organ and the clitoral head is the only external part. Education, which includes anatomy, is essential for better sex for clit owners and reaching climaxing pleasure.
