E18: Interview with Bashir Riachi

Bashir Riachi has established an impressive career in sales leadership and has worked for organisations that service some of Australia's biggest corporate clients. In this episode with Bashir, we talk about the importance of trust and accountability in not just leaderships, but relationships in general.

In our conversation we discussed a range of leadership lessons and the impact that we have on others as well as the impact that others have on us in leadership and life. Bashir spoke about really intently engaging with people to move into a space of influence and how that results in the ability to charge them with energy so as leaders, we can open the right doors up for them.

As a Lebanese Australian, Bashir also touched on how he navigated through his life and career and being different from most of the people around him. He spoke openly about some of the cultural biases that he has experienced and how he learned to find the beauty in being different. The interview finished with Bashir talking about how the art of listening, effective communication and understanding what you stand for, forms the foundation of his leadership focus.
