E42 – Finding your purpose and creating flow in your life with Dr Kavitha Samuel

E42: Interview with Dr Kavitha Samuel

Dr Parvathi 'Kavitha' Samuel is the founder of Bohdi Mind. She is also a medical doctor and Rapid Transformational Therapy Practitioner. She has always had a passion for medicine and her role as a Doctor led her to see suffering in her patients that she felt helpless to solve. Although she would refer her patients for psychological assistance they kept coming back with recurring problems. It was at this point that Dr Kavitha stumbled across Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) and studied the method so that she could offer additional help to her patients.

In this episode we cover how to create a life of flow through connection with self and our purpose in life. Dr Kavitha explains that your purpose is already inside you, it is what you already do, but because we have been programmed for what success 'should' look like, we miss our own gifts and capabilities. A key quote that Dr Kavitha shared was from Rumi – "What you are looking for is looking for you too". This connected perfectly with the insights and concepts that she shared with us during this episode.

We talked about the gift of unhappiness as it creates the discomfort that encourages us to follow our dreams and passions. Dr Kavitha shared that when you are you, truly you, there is a light that lights up inside you that guides you to where you need to be. When we focus on the 'HOW', we don't allow any other influences or magicness of dreaming up something to guide us to it. Our purpose is within us, we just need to become curious and open to unpacking everything that covered it up in the first place.
