When you are in a fasted state, it means your body is burning fat. When going through a fast your body will activate brown dispose tissue. It is brown because it is mitochondrial dense. White fat is not good. Blood rushes away from muscle tissue to brown fat, brown fat seeks white fat. Woo hoo. When you fast, especially in the beginning your core body temperate will decrease. This Nature study took a look at fasting mice and found white adipose tissue converted to brown fat. Caffeine has been shown to increase levels of orexin. Everyone has different levels of orexin which can explain why some get cold and others donât. Oxygen kills everything. More blood flow means more oxygen. You can take an oil that contains the precursor of what PGE1 needs to do its thing. A 12-inch pizza has 38 teaspoons of sugar. If you eat 20 teaspoons of sugar, you have no leukocytes, which are essential for fighting viruses. Twenty calories from a carbohydrate is a teaspoon of sugar. The more carbohydrates you eat, the more you crave. Right now, people are eating more carbs, and they are doing the worst possible thing in the world for their bodies. People with diabetes are one of the largest at-risk populations.  [19:55] Enhancing Your Body to Fight Coronavirus with Essential Oils Omega-3 and omega-6 come from food. You need much more omega-6 than omega-3. Itâs 11 fold more. We have overdosed on processed omega-6. Oils have been converted to be suitable for frying, so they have lowered the omega-6s. This virus isnât that strong. Most people donât have symptoms. Our immune system is weaker because we are overdosing on carbs, and we arenât getting these oils. Fish oil is a poison. It is an overdose!  [33:30] Minimize Your Risk You should avoid fast-food restaurants. If you get fries, eat a third of them. Instead of the whole bun, rip off half of it. Wheat is horrible. It doesnât matter what kind of wheat it is. You can have some junk as long as you are bringing in some of the good stuff.  [35:00] How to Find Essential Oils Flax oil will help. Eat fish. If you bake it, then most of the oil is gone. Fish oil is processed. The oil is concentrated, itâs horrible for you. If you take fish oil, your heart wonât have the energy to pump. There are no land sources of DHA. Your body makes enough just fine. Be careful with anecdotal stuff â people get misled. [44:15] The Importance of Oxygen for the Body   Decreasing oxygen in the cell can result in cancer. In a study, every heart that had been reduced oxygen got cancer. In the cell membrane, the oxygen can come out of the oils. You want oxygen going in and out of the bloodstream and in and out of the cells. All the oils in a regular supermarket are processed, and the oxygen transferring is profoundly impaired. This is the biggest problem that we have today. When you have a lack of oxygen, you either kill the cell or grow yeast. The yeast is growing sugar. The cell is actually not using the oxygen because it canât. The oxygen transfer is tied to the omega-6. Everybody in the world is missing the omega-6s. All the fish oil studies are finding that it fails.  [59:20] We Shouldnât Have Self-Quarantined People are unemployed, and they are not going to have money for food. If you are in panic mode, your immune system will go down. When you are in panic mode, you are burning oxygen. Itâs the worst thing we could have done is to panic people. The numbers are not in an epidemic that we are led to believe. The numbers are not growing. It doesnât warrant an epidemic. The solution is worse than the problem. When the virus meets your cell membrane, itâs able to infect the cell easily. It can infect people much easier than any other viruses. It is possible that the virus was engineered. We are so focused on the virus (the attacker) that we forget that we have a built-in immune system (the defender) available to us to protect us from harm. We need to think about how to take a systems approach to the body. [06:45] Sweden Didnât Shut Down Sixty million people got H1N1, and 60,000 people died. Six hundred thousand people die of heart disease in this country. We should be calling a state of emergency on obesity. However, cancer and obesity fuel big pharma â so itâs no wonder people are turning a blind eye. Sweden didnât shut down because they saw the numbers. Why are we forcing everyone to a quarantine model? A minimal set of people are dying. The people who are dying are old or have immune problems. Dr. Pedre found that there is a way to relax his body through meditation and yoga. Pedre wanted to hack his body through a combination of breathing and guided imagery. He is not the type to shy away from his comfort zone. Despite being afraid of needles, Dr. Pedre found the strength to get his vaccines. He knew he was ready for medical school. The body has an ability to conquer fears. [09:30] The Consequences of Stress on the Body Stress increases gut permeability and affects the gut microbiome. If you are in a fight or flight, you canât digest well. Stress wonât let you break down protein properly. If you arenât breaking down protein, then you wonât be happy and enjoying life. People struggle on keto because they donât have the bile to break down the fat. Relaxing will be essential. âYou have to rest to digest.â -Dr. Pedre Digestion begins in the mouth. It has to be permeable to get the right nutrients through. Your gut can increase and decrease permeability. If your gut is more permeable, then the connections between the cells start to loosen up. Then, things can get through that arenât meant to get through â like endotoxins. Why are we so interested in leaky gut? It leads to inflammation. Inflammation is the root of disease in the body. It can affect anyone from normal to someone with celiac disease. You might get hives, joint inflammation, and joint pain. Sometimes you wonât have any gut complaints whatsoever. There is probably a huge percentage of people with leaky gut. It is becoming a worldwide problem because of the exposure to pesticides and antibiotics. We are treating too many things with antibiotics. Instead of fighting a bug, we should be fortifying the terrain. [36:30] Foods That Cause Leaky Gut Gluten and dairy are part of the problem. Soy and corn are also problem foods. GMO foods are also giant issues for our guts. Some people are sensitive to artificial sweeteners. She didnât know anything about fasting or detox. However, she was in an amazing place with her health. Shortly after, Dr. Mindy started having trouble with her sleep, depression, and anxiety. Mindy realized she needed to start doing something different. The wake-up moment for Dr. Mindy was when her family and friends told her it was menopause. âWe are living in one of the most toxic times in human history.â -Dr. Mindy  [08:30] Dr. Mindy Started Fasting Mindy knew that she wanted to learn water fasting for three to five days. However, she had all these limiting beliefs about fasting. Mindy met a nine-year-old who was on his second day of a water fast. Thatâs when she realized anyone could do it. Then, Dr. Mindy started doing way too much fasting and tanked her sex hormones. Women need to be careful about how much fasting they do.  [10:40] Signs Women Are Fasting Too Much Hair loss is a significant sign. When you stimulate autophagy, it will start to clean the cells. It can also look at the cell and decide to kill it. When the cell dies, it doesnât have a mechanism to handle the environmental toxins. If you are gaining weight, that is also a sign you are fasting too much. Spotting is a sign of low progesterone.  [13:10] How to Help the Detoxification of Toxins There are some simple things you can do: Dry brushing Loofa under armpits and on neck Walk during fasting Castor oil packs Coffee enemas Add a heavy metal detox.  [15:40] How to Fast for Your Cycle   If you have a regular cycle, start tracking it. Mindy uses the Clue app. On day 12 to day 14, thereâs a short window where estrogen has to be made. You need glucose to produce estrogen. It will help you ovulate. If you are in menopause, that 12 to 14 day period means you need to step out of ketosis. Do a hormone building day. Eat beans, squashes, and potatoes. Once day 14 hits, you can go back to keto and fasting. On day 21, the same rules apply â step out of ketosis. The first month you try keto, you need to figure out ketosis for you.  [21:20] Will Carbs Slow Down the Progress for Women?  Instead of doing 15 hours of fasting, try 17 hours. Start doing two or three days of hormone building rather than seven days. Hopefully, you can balance the hormones but still give you the weight loss. Some women have been doing one meal a day and stopped losing weight. If thatâs you, eating this way will actually make you lose weight. Step out and do something different.  [23:05] Problems With Getting Too Much Autophagy  You get stuck with your weight loss goals. Hair will fall out. Women will start getting hot flashes. Women will lose their periods.
