Closing the 18-Inch Gap Podcast-EP029: 7 Struggles You Must Overcome To Succeed

Closing the 18-Inch Gap Podcast-EP029: 7 Struggles You Must Overcome To Succeed

Struggles are part of life. There is no way around it. I still believe that the bigger the struggle the bigger the victory. But what about when you're trying to reach a goal and it takes forever. At least it seems that way. It takes me back to a previous episode I did of why the tortoise will win and not the hare. So today I want to look at seven struggles you will face and how to overcome them. But first the… Quote of the week: If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Frederick Douglass Points to covered: The first point I want to cover is why we struggle to succeed is fear. Fears come in many ways. Fear the unknown, fear of failure and yes even fear success. It's an instinct that we have been born with. How do we overcome this? The second reason you may struggle a lot is because of this thing called perfectionism. What you're trying to do you may wanted to be so perfect that I'll never get finished. If that was the case we would never see the most beautiful paintings, the greatest songs, the best stories ever written or anything else because they would still be waiting to be met with perfection. The next struggle many people have is not knowing what to do next. They don't know what to do so they do nothing. Are you this way? Do you feel overwhelmed? You're not alone, once again many others feel the same exact way. As I mentioned in the previous point another struggle many have is being completely overwhelmed. This is from having too much information coming from too many directions. That's why in point number three I alluded to some of what I want to further expand on this point. Struggle number five that I want to bring to you today is what I call in my world the shiny object syndrome. That's the need to test and buy in they with every newest little gadget that comes out. The sixth reason that people struggle comes back to them not keeping the main thing as the main thing. And in other words, they cannot focus. The focus is all over the place as already described in the previous point. The last thing I want to mention that people will struggle with and interferes with their success is having too much activity without any strategy. This basically means that you're very busy doing nothing. Busyness seems to be a badge of honor but being busy is not productive unless there is a strategy behind it. Did anything I say today resonate with you? Do you want to explore deeper how I can help you with these points? As a coach, I can help you overcome these and many more If so, reach out to me and let me know.
