#15 Managing Dagny - The Three Musketeers with Juna and Harry

In this episode of Artistpodden, we're in Tromsø where we meet Juna Norvoll Sandvik and Harry Mead from the management company Little Daggers. Together they manage the career of Dagny, and in this conversation they share their experiences from over ten years of artist development work. As Harry is english, and they work all over the world, we´ve kept this episode in the Queens language.

Juna, who is Dagny's sister, started as a tour manager and makeup artist before taking over as head manager. Harry came in as drummer and bandleader, but has evolved to become a central part of the creative and business-driven team. Together with Dagny, they form "the three musketeers" who control all aspects of the career - from creative development and record label to booking and marketing.

In the conversation, we get insight into how they navigate the complex music industry, from early days with house concerts in Northern Norway to international tours and collaborations with major record labels. They openly share challenges and successes, including the crucial period around the breakthrough song "Backbeat" and the decision to retain the rights to the music.

Fredrik Forssman from Musikkontoret Nord leads the conversation, which touches on everything from practical management and company structure to the creative process and the importance of building a strong artistic identity. They also discuss how to balance family and business, international ambitions versus the home market, and provide valuable advice to others who want to build sustainable music careers.
