GAME NIGHT: Florida Panthers Clinch BACK TO BACK Stanley Cups With DEMOLITION Of Oilers In Game 6!

The Florida Panthers have made history, becoming back-to-back Stanley Cup Champions after defeating the Edmonton Oilers 5-1 in Game 6 of the 2025 Stanley Cup Final on Tuesday night in Sunrise, Florida. This marks their second consecutive championship, both coming against the Oilers.

In the decisive Game 6, Sam Reinhart was the undisputed star, scoring a remarkable four goals, including a hat trick that sent hats (and the customary plastic rats) flying onto the ice. He became the first player since Maurice "Rocket" Richard in 1952 to score four goals in a Stanley Cup Final game. Matthew Tkachuk, a face of the franchise, fittingly scored the Cup-clinching goal, adding to the celebration.

Sergei Bobrovsky was stellar in net for the Panthers, making 28 saves and allowing only one goal to Vasily Podkolzin in garbage time. The Panthers' suffocating forecheck and strong defensive play, combined with their timely scoring, proved too much for the Oilers once again.

This victory solidifies the Panthers' place as a modern-day dynasty, becoming the first team to win back-to-back Cups since the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020 and 2021. Sam Bennett was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP, leading all goal-scorers this postseason with 15 goals. The Oilers, led by Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, were once again denied their first Stanley Cup, extending Canada's Cup drought to 31 seasons.
