Why is Franco Colapinto turning heads in Formula 1 during a season where Alpine is struggling more than ever? Easy! With big changes shaking up the team, a drop in performance and uncertainty at every level, Colapinto’s promotion to the race seat couldn’t have come at a harder moment. Still, his performances have quietly outshone Jack Doohan’s, with Franco consistently finishing closer to teammate Pierre Gasly despite having far less experience in the car and as Alpine fall further away from their rivals. Fans might be on the fence, but the stats show that Colapinto’s rapid adaptation, clean record and cool head are exactly what Alpine needs right now.
