President Trump is having quite a mood swing. Last night he was ecstatic posting that a ceasefire had been reached between Israel and Iran and there was finally peace, but after missiles started flying again, he became enraged. Today, while speaking with reporters, he got so worked up he dropped a bomb of his own. And the thought of World War III breaking out has touched a nerve on our shores, reigniting the doomsday prepper movement with Americans getting ready for the worst. And what about those old fallout shelters constructed decades ago during the Cold War? Are they still there? Plus, they were having a bachelorette party on a boat and as they headed out to sea, they joked about it being the 50th anniversary of the movie Jaws... And what do you know...a giant shark showed up! And as they say in the movie- ‘We're gonna need a bigger boat!’ And authorities say a mass shooting at a church was averted when a gunman was taken down before he had a chance to open fire on parishioners and a security guard is being hailed a hero. Just two days after she attended the Golden Globes a published report claims Elvis' daughter Lisa Marie Presley was rushed to the hospital after suffering a possible cardiac arrest. According to the report, paramedics were called to the 54-year-old's home today where they performed CPR. Presley’s publicist told us they had “no comment at this time.” The sales are in for Prince Harry's memoir, Spare, and it’s breaking publishing records. The book made for an uncomfortable moment during Prince William and Kate's first official appearance since the book's release. Les Trent says someone in the crowd yelled asking 'if they've read it?' More lies are being attributed to newly elected GOP Congressman George Santos. Turns out the man who didn’t go to any college, boasted of being a college volleyball star. Did he lift parts of his resume from a man who really did do all those things? The price of eggs is up 60%...something Americans haven't seen since Richard Nixon was president! Turns out the “egg-flation” can be blamed on a bird flu outbreak that decimated egg supplies. But Ann Mercogliano found out there are some substitutes if you can find - or can’t afford eggs. The death toll is rising as are the flood waters across virtually all of the state of California. 34 million people are under flood watch thanks to a stubborn storm system that's parked over the state. In places like ritzy Montecito, California…residents are being ordered to evacuate immediately and that includes Prince Harry and wife Meghan. And we do know Prince Harry is far from the disaster zone...he's in New York continuing his media blitz for his new memoir with an appearance on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He arrived to the studio flanked by bodyguards - one carrying a gun in what's called a Glock box. Les Trent tells us what that is. Plus, still no sign of the Massachusetts mom who's been missing since New Year’s Day. However, authorities say they have found more evidence and none of it bodes well. A search of a garbage transfer station has turned up clues that may be connected to Ana Walshe's disappearance. This while her husband remains behind bars charged with hampering the investigation. And students at the University of Idaho return to campus tomorrow after their holiday break, and they are going back to classes breathing a sigh of relief knowing a suspect in the quadruple murders is in custody. Meantime, a woman has come forward to say she actually went on a date with Bryan Kohberger after meeting him on the dating app Tinder. She spoke with Ann Mercogliano.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. An ominous development in the case of a mom missing since New Year’s Day. Her husband has been taken into custody - and has been charged with misleading police investigators. The mother of three was supposed to board a flight that day...but never made it. In arguing to keep him behind bars, prosecutors say blood was found in the family home…and he was spotted buying more than $400 of cleaning supplies. Steven Fabian has details. And was the suspect in the Idaho murders case an active participant in online chats about the case? Comments by a user are raising eyebrows because they included information only the killer could know - including the discovery of a knife sheath. Plus, today's a big day for us here at Inside Edition…as we mark our 35th season. Deborah Norville was invited to join the folks over at CBS Mornings today to talk about it. And it was a big win for the Buffalo Bills…and a big boost for Damar Hamlin who's still recovering from his near death cardiac arrest. There's been a nationwide outpouring of support for Damar…and he's paying it forward, with his words “did we win?” raising big bucks for the medical personnel who've been treating him. Inside Edition for Friday, January 6, 2023

We now know just how important good old fashioned police work was in cracking the University of Idaho murders case. From amassing video surveillance of the suspect’s car…to getting DNA evidence that gave them 99.998% certainty they had their man. And it was a piece of garbage from the suspect's parents homes that did that. And it doesn’t officially hit stores until next week, but there is plenty of reaction to Prince Harry's explosive book and most of it's not very favorable to the author. The book was accidentally released five days early in Spain…and as people are reading directly what Harry's put in print - some are saying he should be stripped of his titles. Plus, he saved his children's lives…and now he's fighting for his own. Former NFL running back Peyton Hillis is in intensive care today after rescuing his two young children during a swimming accident. And is it more than just a creepy coincidence? It turns out that the sister of the man charged with murdering the four University of Idaho students once starred in a slasher movie, in which students are stabbed to death.     To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. It’s a grand farewell for Pope Benedict XVI who passed away at 95 in Vatican City. It marked the first occasion in modern times that a current pontiff has presided over the funeral of his predecessor. And the suspect in the murder of four University of Idaho students appeared before a judge today where he was formally charged and ordered held without bail. His appearance comes as we learn new shocking details about the crime. We now know one of the survivors actually came face-to-face with the killer as he fled the scene wearing all black. Jim Moret is in Idaho with the very latest. Kohberger says he will be exonerated. Plus, Prince Harry's memoir isn't officially out until next Tuesday. However, the details are being leaked, and they are more explosive than anyone imagined. Harry writes about a blowup he had with his brother over Meghan that got so heated, Harry says William knocked him to the floor. And as soon as he got his flying license he couldn't wait to take his family into the sky, flying them to breakfast of all things. Then disaster as the engine conked out midflight! But as Ann Mercogliano reports, thankfully grandma said a prayer. Early this morning, Bryan Kohberger, the suspect in the murder of four University of Idaho students was flown by police from Pennsylvania where he was captured, all the way back to the state where cops say he committed the crime. Jim Moret has the very latest. And initial reports called it a horrible accident, a family going over a California cliff in their Tesla, but miraculously surviving! Now the story has taken a shocking turn…police have arrested the father, who happens to be a doctor, and charged him with attempted murder. Plus, the entire nation continues to pray for Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin who suffered a cardiac arrest on the field after making a tackle. As frightening as the situation continues to be, there is a silver lining. It’s now led to a huge surge in people signing up for CPR classes. And before the suspect in the Idaho murders Bryan Kohberger was arrested he was studying criminology...specifically the notorious BTK serial killer. So were the two communicating? We asked that very question to the BTK killer's own daughter.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices.
