Simpson departed this world the way most do: infirm, his health failing - but surrounded by his family and friends. Simpson went to extraordinary lengths to keep his condition under wraps. Les Trent explains how he kept it all private. And O.J. Simpson's trials for murder for which he was acquitted, and for armed robbery that landed him in jail for nine years were widely known. However, there was a another case in which Simpson was a criminal defendant, when he was found not guilty after being  accused of road rage. Jim Moret looks at back at that forgotten case. Plus, just three months after Gary and Theresa got married on The Golden Bachelor, the couple's decided to call it quits. This morning they were on TV talking about why. O.J. Simpson, the football great whose murder trial captivated the nation has died of cancer. His family made the announcement today…nearly 30 years from the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. Until then, Simpson had been known as an NFL star, sportscaster and commercial pitchman. Jim Moret has the latest on Simpson’s final days. And although, O.J. Simpson was acquitted of criminal charges in the killings, he was found civilly liable and ordered to pay more than $33 million dollars to the family of Ron Goldman. They received only a pittance of that…it was but one of the many controversies in Simpson’s post-football life. Plus, it's a terrifying situation…a little boy playing little league takes a hit right to the chest, and suffers a heart attack. However, there was a guardian angel right there - his mom who happens to be a nurse. And it was one of the most talked about moments on television: The slow speed police chase of O.J. Simpson in his white Ford Bronco. It was a terrifying medical emergency midair when the pilot of a small private plane suddenly slumps over the controls. His passenger, the only other person board, radios the tower and incredibly he is able to safely land the plane. Jim Moret reports, the victim was an experienced pilot who apparently suffered a heart attack. And we've told you about the alarming number of women who have been sucker punched while on the streets of New York. Cops say most of the attacks are not related. Along with the increase in attacks, there has been an increase in women taking classes in self-defense. Our Alison Hall is one of them. Plus, 50 years ago People Magazine hit the newsstands: Now the magazine is looking back at a half century of stories with an issue for the ages. And was he the aggressor who attacked a group of people tubing on a river? Including one couple who says their dream vacation turned into the worst experience of their lives. And what was supposed to be a fun day tubing on a river, ended up deadly after a fight broke out. A knife was pulled and five people were stabbed, leading to the death of a 17-year-old.
