The Volga Maniac

Between 2011 and 2012, a Russian serial killer would target elderly women that lived alone.

Beginning his spree in the early months of 2011, this mysterious killer emerged from Kazan, the capital city of Tatarstan. It was here that he would kill close to a dozen women over the next year, before moving on to other cities in the region.

In the decade since, investigators have speculated that this violent individual may have as many as 32 victims - spanning hundreds of kilometers through central Russia - but they are no closer to bringing him to justice, despite them having footage of the killer in action...
