What do you need to succeed in treasury beyond experience?

In this episode of Treasury Career Corner, John Jackson is on the show to discuss his impressive treasury career. John shares his thoughts on what makes a good treasury leader, what skills are most essential for new treasurers, and why it’s important to always do something you enjoy.

John recently retired as Group Treasurer of Severn Trent plc after more than 30 years in corporate treasury and banking. Highlights of his career included working in Hong Kong for Marks and Spencer and as Finance Director of the Treasury Division for Halifax Building Society during its conversion to a bank.

He is a Chartered Accountant and former council member of the ACT. John is now looking forward to enjoying more time with his family and his collection of guitars.
