Careers Guidance Programme for amputees launches

In collaboration with Careers Navigation Specialist, Tony McBride, and Professional CV Writer Lindsay Fullarton, this first of its kind initiative aims to help amputees transition skills and find meaningful employment.

This innovative programme has been developed in partnership with seasoned careers professionals Tony McBride and Lindsay Fullarton, who bring decades of experience in CV writing, interview prep and career coaching.

Key features of the programme include:

We will build a comprehensive Resource Library featuring accessible fact sheets, guides, and podcasts addressing everything from CV writing and interview preparation to advice where to access information on legal rights and workplace adjustments.

  • One-to-one calls with Tony or Lindsay for personalised guidance and support.
  • Group coaching sessions, offering peer connection and motivation.

Lord Mackinlay of Richborough said: “I have been working with the excellent team at Steel Bones for some time and am hugely impressed with their commitment to support amputee families around our country. I am delighted to support the Employment and Careers Support Programme and am on hand to assist Steel Bones with this in any way I can.”

The Careers Guidance Programme is now open to all amputees across the UK, with resources and bookings available via the Steel Bones website.

Lindsay Fullarton worked in the world of HR and Recruitment from 2002 to 2018. In 2020, she launched her own CV Writing business, helping clients to identify their skills and create impactful and engaging CVs to secure new roles. Along with CV Writing, Lindsay also provides support with LinkedIn optimisation, cover letters, supporting statements, personal bios, interview preparation, and job search strategy. Connect on LinkedIn to read more about how Lindsay has helped clients realise their potential and secure dream roles.

Tony McBride has been working in workforce planning for the last 15 years.
