Taika Waititi's Judge Dredd: A Bold New Direction or a Risky Move?

Taika Waititi is officially directing a new Judge Dredd movie, with Drew Pearce (The Fall Guy, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation) writing the script. Both are longtime fans of the Dredd comics and are promising a return to the dark satire and heavy worldbuilding of the original 2000 AD stories.
