What's The Point Of The Census?

Tuesday 10th August is officially Census Day 2021, but have you ever wondered what the point of it is, especially as the Government has decided not to ask about sexuality even though LGBTIQ+ advocates have said loud and clear that they want to be counted?

And last time we did this, it resulted in #CensusFail2016 when the website crashed and had to be taken down for 40 hours, so will this census be any better?

The Quicky speaks to a cyber expert, a demographer, and an advocate for the LGBTIQ+ community to find out why we conduct a census, how safe it is, and why the Government still refuses to acknowledge the LGBTIQ+ community in 2021.
