RWR-022: Minimize Distractions and Stay Focused

I'm in the middle of this amazing book and I stumbled across this epic quote: "You can make your dream happen a lot quicker with two simple tips: 1) cutting out the distractions, and 2) focusing on what is most important." This quote was taken from the book Stop Chasing Influencers by Kimanzi Constable and Jared Easley. Let's face it, distractions are everywhere. It's 2016 and you are flooded with social media, smart phones, movies, tv, etc. everywhere you go. It's extremely hard to block all of that out unless you lock yourself in a dark room with no connection to the outside world.

Ok, that's probably a bit extreme, but in this day in age, you must focus on what's important. To do that, you have to discipline yourself. Remove everything that distracts you as best as you can. I took the tv out of my bedroom and cancelled my Netflix. That's a start and it was something easy to let go of.

So what are your big goals? What do you want to accomplish with your time in your life? What's the one thing you need to focus on that will get you there? Go do that one thing. Today. Right now.
