Sanjna Selva, USA: Multimedia Journalist, Filmmaker, Community Organizer

In this episode, Yoshnee chats with Sanjna Selva, an award-winning documentary filmmaker at the start of her exciting career. Growing up in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, Sanjna commuted daily across the border to Singapore, where she attended secondary school.

While she had always been drawn to the arts, her schooling gave her the opportunity to fully explore her love for acting and the performing arts. However, as she grew older, Sanjna realized her passion lay behind the camera.

She shares her experiences producing documentaries and films as a Malaysian filmmaker, the unique challenges and opportunities she faces, and her vision for the future. Tune in for an inspiring conversation about creativity, resilience, and pursuing one’s passion.
