16 - Jenna Yankun McRorie on Starting a Business With Your Partner, Motherhood, Money, Energy & More

This episode is also watchable on my YouTube channel. This conversation was exceptional and covered a lot of topics including art, creativity, entrepreneurship, motherhood, energy, signs, money, and much more. Jenna grew up within an artistic family in Boston, Massachusetts. In high school, she started designing and making her own clothes. At 18, she moved to NYC where she studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology and completed a degree in fabric styling and textile design. She has worked as an art director for Condé Nast, Bloomingdale's, and Gilt, an apparel designer for Anthropologie, and as a designer and co-founder of Atlas: the magazine of material culture. She began to focus on art direction for home and real estate in 2016, envisioning and creating inspired living environments for photoshoots for Urban Outfitters Home (where she was also an Art Director) and Compass. Recently, she and Dan started their own business adventure, Fitzwater Interiors (website) with a focus on creating inspired living spaces. Each project is specifically tailored to meet the needs and reflect the personalities of their clients. They create innovative solutions within an accessible project budget while holding themselves to the highest level of craftsmanship. Fitzwater Interiors (Instagram) combines Jenna's skills as a designer and artist with Dan's expertise as a builder and craftsman. Together with their crew, they work to tell the story of who each of their clients are in their homes, and ensure that all the elements of their story are composed with quality and precision.
