His story grew stranger when, days later, he discovered mushroom-like “flesh-colored heads” growing in his backyard, which he thought were connected to the UFO. The case was covered in the Jacksonville Journal in 1974 and later revisited in UFO Report magazine by B. Ann Slate, who called it one of the most unique UFO cases ever reported.
