Telling Our Stories

Telling Our Stories

Having delved more in-depth into cultural identity, Kaidain Ivy explains why it is important to amply BIPOC voices especially when they are telling their stories. Traditionally, this has been overseen almost paternally; carefully moderated, curated and edited to suit one specific audience. Though we have come to recognize other voices in the room, that paternal forced guidance continues to silence those who have little to no voice or platform.
