Guest: Tim Pointer: Operating Partner at Three Hills Tim Pointer is Operating Partner at Three Hills, working as a portfolio Chief People Officer across Three Hills’ group of investments. Tim creates organisational value through select people strategies covering talent, organisational design, learning & development, performance data, reward and governance. He has held global Chief People Officer roles in a breadth of sectors including brand & talent management (Creative Artists Agency); fashion, sports & retail (Pentland; Diesel); health (Nelsons); technology (Currys); and liquor & wine (Beam Suntory). Tim is fascinated by organisational culture and co-founded the Business Culture Awards & Business Culture Connected community in 2015. Tim is passionate about accelerating organisational performance by strengthening purpose; clarifying strategy & measurement; designing structure; aligning talent; and enhancing business culture. The work Tim has led has been recognised by the CIPD Awards (Overall Winner) and Great Place to Work (Top 10), and he was recognised by the readers of HR Magazine as the UK’s 3rd most influential HR leader in 2024. Tim is currently recording ‘Powered by People’ a Three Hills business podcast, focussed on people strategies that lead business transformation, that will launch this autumn. Tim has lived and worked in EMEA; the US; and Asia-Pacific. He studied executive coaching at Hult Ashridge International Business School and is an alumnus of the University of York, Lancaster University and London Business School. He is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD. Tim is an FA football coach and can be found on the touchline most Sunday mornings.
