109. "WINDY" WRITER RUTHANN FRIEDMAN REVEALS THE FULL STORY BEHIND HER ENTIRE CAREER (AND PAVEMENT’S BOB NASTANOVICH REVEALS THE FULL STORY BEHIND MY 13-HOUR ASSOCIATION INTERVIEW!)

I conducted a 13-hour interview with the two founders of legendary 1960s soft pop act The Association, Terry Kirkman and Jules Alexander, in which they rated the entirety of their own discography.

In this episode, we start at the end, in deft tribute to Raging Bull, so as to better understand what precisely went down.

Post-interview, I hung out with the band, came close to bleeding to death (unrelated), was hired as their manager, and then was promptly ghosted.

Confused? So am I, and so is Pavement’s Bob Nastanovich.

Welcome aboard the most lunatic series in Discograffiti history.

In Episode One, Discograffiti covers:

Gebroe’s plan to bring The Association back to relevance with a rock opera of unquestionable significance;
The reason I was given for being ghosted;
And the real reason Ruthann Friedman left the music industry for so many years.
