Kohberger, filed a motion requesting a Franks hearing, aiming to challenge the validity of the search warrant affidavits by alleging intentional or reckless false statements or omissions by law enforcement. After thorough consideration, the court denied this motion on February 19, 2025, concluding that the defendant did not meet the necessary burden to warrant such a hearing. Specifically, the court found insufficient evidence to suggest that any false statements or omissions were made intentionally or with reckless disregard for the truth in the affidavits supporting the search warrants.Additionally, the defense had submitted multiple motions to suppress evidence obtained through various search warrants, including those related to AT&T, Google, USB, Apple, Amazon, arrest warrants, and searches conducted in Pennsylvania and Idaho. These motions were also denied by the court. In its ruling, the court determined that the search warrants in question were supported by probable cause and that the evidence obtained was lawfully acquired.
