🎙 Podcast #111 with Pierre Lindh and Tom Waterhouse, Founder, CEO & Investor at Waterhouse VC

In this episode, Pierre sits down with Tom Waterhouse, one of Australia's notorious businessmen. Tom talks about his bookmaker legacy, being the fourth generation of the Waterhouse racing dynasty and the grandson of one of the first official bookmakers in Australia.

Personal brand becomes the keyword of this podcast- on which Waterhouse has based his business core. He explains the pros and cons, the risks, being a polarizing figure and such.

Tom and Pierre discuss recipes for success and the nature of an entrepreneur.

He rearranged his university timetable to attend as many race meetings as possible, and by 2008 was Australia’s largest and most profitable on-course bookmaker with turnover exceeding $200m per year. In 2010, Tom launched the online sports betting business TomWaterhouse.com. Within two years this became one of the largest Australian online sports betting companies. TomWaterhouse.com in this time grew from a start up with three people to over 100 and from less than 1,000 clients to approximately 250,000.
