Ep 13 How to Stop the Negative Thinking After Eating and Achieve Permanent Weight Loss

Ep 13 How to Stop the Negative Thinking After Eating and Achieve Permanent Weight Loss

This episode stems from a question a listener sent that goes, "A lot of our work is overeating based on a deep-rooted need that needs to be fulfilled. So many of us are a work in progress and I'm sure your listeners are, especially, what do we do if we quote do the thing, a.k.a. overeat, drink too much, indulge on too much cake, bingeing on mac and cheese in front of the fridge. devour a whole pizza, skip the gym. So Many of us are black and white thinkers and catastrophize. How do we quickly recover from it so we don't continue on that pattern of negative self-talk and negative outcomes.? I have a few tools now. But I'm thinking back to when I was a listener only." A lot of us do not know that most of the over-indulgence we have towards food stems from an emotion, from a thought that we want us numbed out. We do what we do completely unaware of the reason for which we do it. We just think that is just how it is. Hanna Hermanson, in my interview with her the previous episode had her tools shared out. But, just the same I am giving you my own. As a lot of our notion around food comes from a deep-seated emotion that is not being addressed at its root, the first thing we need to consider is self-awareness. Once we know where we are coming from, then, things don't come from a controlling perspective but one with compassion towards ourselves. This comes with the understanding that food is not bad or good, and we are not bad or good, either. It's also about staying in the present and confronting those scary thoughts and emotions we place ourselves in and totally coming out of it.

Whatever voices our head tells us, we can always have an attitude of reparenting it, so to speak. Soothing those voices out kind of gets us into the process of easing things out, into rewiring our brain for better results. That is what we term as neuroplasticity.

Sure, things are hard at the start but things just get better as you face it every day. This is what the process of Hypnosis does to you. It can help you with your emotional mastery as you navigate your way around dealing with food and some other problems associated with it. If you're ready to take action, I am here. We can always talk.

"There are no morals in food. You are not good or bad. Food is not good or bad. It's the meaning that you add to it. That's what equals what's happening to your emotional state which can cause unnecessary and lots of overindulging, or eating."
