TikTok's Miracle Weight Loss Cure - But At What Cost?

This week Jeff and Steve have a slightly different podcast for you as they dive into the world of tiktoking and take a look at the science behind the latest weight loss craze- Semaglutide injections. This weight loss "miracle drug", otherwise known as the hottest drug in Hollywood, has several influencers promoting it as a quick and easy way to lose weight. If you don't mind severe nausea, vomiting, and other gastrointestinal side effects that 85% of people who take it experience then you may agree with the proposed benefits. However, this drug was previously reserved for the management of diabetes when necessary and for good reason! The list of side effects is long and unless your life depends on it, you are more likely to be cutting your life short... who needs a pancreas anyway. Jeff and Steve help to clear up any misconceptions on how this drug actually works and what type of weight is actually being lost, does it target fat specifically or would you be compromising other important muscles, bones, and tissues?
