The Shocking REALITY Of Domestic Abuse Suicides - Tim Woodhouse, Suicide Prevention Researcher

The Shocking REALITY Of Domestic Abuse Suicides - Tim Woodhouse, Suicide Prevention Researcher

Tim Woodhouse, Suicide Prevention Programme Manager, joins Debbie, Resolute's Founder and CEO, to discuss the findings from his latest report, revealing the connection between domestic abuse and suicide. His research shows that domestic abuse-related suicides account for 33% of all suicides in Kent and Medway—potentially translating to 1,800 deaths annually across the UK.

Alongside these shocking statistics, Debbie shares her own survivor story, providing insight into how victims can be driven to the edge when trapped in abuse and then further traumatised by the systems meant to protect them.

From the inadequate training of frontline workers to the traumatic aftermath of leaving an abuser, the podcast reveals why many victims feel that suicide is their only escape.
