Hope Takes Flight with Life Line Pilots

Season 2, Episode 152

✈️ On this episode of Along the Rock, host Kaitlyn Blum talks with Lindsey Kerr, executive director of Lifeline Pilots, and Peyton Metzel, longtime volunteer pilot and board member. Together, they share how this incredible nonprofit provides free, non-emergency flights for patients traveling hundreds of miles for medical care.

From its humble beginnings in Champaign, Illinois, Lifeline Pilots has grown into a network of 350 volunteer aviators serving ten Midwest states—helping nearly 1,000 patients each year reach critical treatments and appointments at no cost.

Hear stories of compassion, courage, and flight—like Peyton’s touching account of transporting a young child to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and Lindsey’s inspiring insights into the mission that keeps Lifeline Pilots soaring.
